If you have full signal and cannot go on the internet, you probably have a wireless driver problem. Try reinstalling the wireless driver and see if that helps. you can probably find the driver in by googling "(dell) drivers download" or whatever computer you might have.

If you have played with optimizing vista or xp or whatever you have, you might have disabled some services that are required. so I recommended setting them to manual (to do that control panel and search for "services") then let windows fix your problem automatically by hitting a troubleshoot button.

D-link router provides signals through cable wired connection where each persons computer shares signals from the only computer that has network services. For example, one of the computers that has the internet on which router is connected either has capacity to network several additional computers or not. Usually the server computer that has connections with ethernet cables makes sharing signals possible beyond dial up phone line networked cable conections. The routers splits signals between computers requesting connectivity only becomes possible when enough capacity exist to several computers. The type of network strutures makes the link possible. For example, D-link router should allow to network more than one computer else another router that makes signal expansion possible is prefered. Circumpectively, ascertain that the computer from which video game is installed has the expansive capacity either in cables connection ports, wire links where router becomes the location where each device derives resources.

The wireless on my new router is not working but the wired is.My wireless can connect to the signal but it stills says no internet access. it was working earlier today but not now. I have a Linksys WRT320N...

If you connect the computer to the router , it works.
That means the wired connection is OK.
Open the set up page of the router check the wireless settings of the router.
I think your network is secured and you are not typing the correct network key.
just open the router set up and check the wireless settings .
Make sure that the DHCP server on the router is enabled

Connected but could not access internet

When connected via wireless open a command box and type "ipconfig /all" and note the DNS settings assigned to your laptop. Then do the same with the wired connection. If the wireless connections are not receiving valid DNS settings, that would explain why you won't be able to access any Web sites. You can then re-configure your router to issue the correct DNS settings as per those issued to the wired connection. You could alternatively add these DNS servers as static settings on your laptop, but its best to do it on the router and leave your laptop set to automatic.

Assuming you are saying mostly when working on Internet you are having slow performance issues.

Causes can be from a number of sources. Are you connecting wireless to Internet? Source signal may be to weak or unstable. Preferrable to keep signal at 80% or better.

Web sites and how your connectivity navigates through the Internet cloud (server to server to server and so on) can be hampered by any point along the way.

If you are using a wireless router that is shared by mulitple computers, try isolating and removing other computers and any network devices (wireless print servers). You can also try connecting with an Ethernet cable directly to router or modem.

Hi,

Plug in Internet cable into WAN Port, Switch OFF your Router and then ON, Disable Wireless Network Card of your Laptop and then Enable. Verify IP configuration of the router and Internet Server. Also check if it is DHCP or Manual. Follow instructions.
