Whirlpool model WBP36800 range (about 15 years old) starts a self cleaning cycle without any operator input. What is wrong.

Gurusouds as if a monitor switch has gone bad on your self clean latch mechanism.its continuing to lock and unlock door because the switch that tells the control that the dorr is unlkocked has gone bad and as a result continues to rotate constantly
