Up and down arrows on a digital unit will adjust temperature to higher or lower desired temperature.
Potentiometer knob will adjust temp higher or lower by rotating the knob.

My answer is only a guess at the question you are asking - no specifics, too general and too basic.

Well, your temp sensors can still be bad. If not, there's always a new control board you buy!

However, I wouldn't drink water from that oasis without making ABSOLUTELY sure I'm not seeing a mirage.

The only common denominators between your upper and lower oven temp readings is the firmware and the oven thermometer you are using to visually check the temps.
What type of thermometer are you using to check your oven temperatures with?
If it's not a digital thermometer used specifically for testing ovens, you might just be leading leading yourself astray.
You need a calibrated thermometer. If I don't have a calibrated digital thermometer on me, I use two or three oven thermometers (the dial type) and average the readings.
It's the only way to be as close as possible with a digital probe.

If you have thoroughly verified that your oven is in fact not reading the correct temperature, then you can adjust it +/- 35 degrees F via your oven's control panel.
To adjust the oven temperature:
1 - Press Setup pad.
2 - Select the down arrow to scroll to the next screen.
3 - Select Temp Adjust using the Quickset pads.
4 - Select upper or lower oven (select models).
-"Set temperature offset using the Upper Set Knob" is displayed.
5 - Enter the desired temperature change using the Set knob.
The temperature can be increased or decreased up to 35 degrees.
The temp. change is displayed at the top of the window.
6 - Press the Set knob to accept the change.

Now, if you are still worried about the temp. reading being off, replace both the upper and lower temp sensors. That's all you can do besides replace the main board.

Why did my frigidaire refrigerator digital temp display numbers just disappear after I tried to adjust them up? I tried resetting by pressing the on/off button to the left of the adjustment arrows-the...

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that the digital display, on your Frigidaire refrigerator, went out after trying to adjust the temperature. Without seeing the display, you will not be able to tell what the temperatures are set at, as well as if there is any trouble with the temperatures being hi, should that occur. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, if the display is still not showing, I recommend contacting your local authorized technician. The technician will be able to diagnose your refrigerator and determine why the display has gone out. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

What is the procedure for recalibrating the digital oven temp control for a built-in, dual element electric unit?

Oven will be off, of course.

Depress the Bake button; hold it down for 5-7 seconds.

The default offset of 0 will appear in the numerical display. Or, if the oven has previously been adjusted, you'll see that setting. Use the 'up' or 'down' arrow to adjust the temperature by the desired amount. The adjustments are in increments of 5 degrees F. Maximum adjustment is 35.

Press 'Start' to save the new setting.

I recommend rechecking the oven temp at this time. I expected to see a 25 degree increase, but all I got was 10.

How to set the clock on my 2004 Silouhette--no H or M buttons.

I found the buttons! When the light was shining on my console I was able to notice them. The Hr and Min were no longer obvious in normal light, but there are two small buttons below the Volume Control knob that adjust the clock.

HI showing on digital display frialator 14ss/chhov

When high is displayed it means that the probe and controller is reading that your oil temp is 30 degrees over your set temp. Use an external probe, locate it about one inch above your probe in the tank check actual temp and compare to your set temp. If you find that it is not 30 degrees over than there may be a problem with your probe, wiring or the digital controller. With a multi meter you can check your probe resitance it should be at 942 ohms at 350 degrees.
