If you can get the power board out yourself,it would be alot less money to ship it both ways then the whole TV.Where are you from?I'm from Madison,Maine.I shipped one just like yours to Ohio, and it cost me around $40 UPS for the whole TV with the stand.Have you taken the back off the TV yet?If so,please look at the power board, and let me know if any of the can shaped items look bulged out on the tops of them.Thank You very much!

RCA Pro Scan PS52650 fix and price (no power)

No power and won't turn on. I had some indications with TV occasionally going on and off and tricking it with remote (by holding power button for longer periods of time) to turn it back on.
it and leaving it over night then plugging it back in heard three clicks at the back and nothing after that. Doesn't start.
Finally took it to the repair shop and it's power board and it will cost in a range of $300 CAD.
Hopefully this will help some of you guys.

I have an element TV with a MLT070A power supply board. I'm not an electrical guy, but a technician came out and showed me the bulged caps and said that was what's wrong with the TV. He said he...

power supply board is dead, if you know basic electronics' and soldering you can handle it ? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.

Good luck in solving the problem.....

My 4 year old 26" Samsung hd tv whistles constantly when on stand by - it is ok when actually on and ideas?

Usually the singing ir whistleing you hear is a capacitor. Usually the ones that go are in the power dection or high voltage as they get worked harder.

They can be easily fixed but you have to identify them first. Your repair shop may be able to figure out which one by the sound. The other way is to actually let it go pop. then they are rather obvious.

What I would suggest is to call a few repair shops and see if they want to track it down when its singing or if they want to wait till it goes out. Sometimes this can take a bit longer to find so they don;t want to spend the time. As well get an estimate before getting it fixed. Know what a replacement is worth just in case. This should be a cheap(ish) fix but depends on what goes out.

So it should be safe until it goes out but may cost more to fix if you let it go as it could do more damage.Or it may cost a bit more to fix if they have trouble finding it. So its one of those can't win for loosin problems. If your repair guy is sharp I'd take it in as soon as I could but wouldn;t worry too much if I couldn;t.

Clicks on and off repeatedly. brought to repair shop. $569 to replace main power board. is this reasonable

Hahaha, this is MOST CERTAINLY not reasonable.

There are companies who specialize in fixing power supplies and the basic rate of the one I last used was $150.

But frankly, even $150-$180 is too much for that.

Feel free to send me your broken power board and I'll have it fixed for under $200 even if I have to replace most active components on it without even knowing which one is to blame :-)

What's more serious, though, and this is for everyone reading this reply, is this: some repair shopes APPARENTLY have no clue what are they talking about. While in this case they might be right - the problem may indeed be in the power board, just yesterday I had a customer in a very similar situation to yours and he was quoted $650 for a problem that was MOST CERTAINLY not the power board, but a sustain board in a plasma television.

So beware people of self-pronounced or flat out fraud TV repair shops!

Back to your question, if the power board is indeed what's at fault, what you need is part number 1P-271135A and whis is what I found for you through Google:

I am in no way associated with seller, have no clue if he would ship to US, if he;s reliable etc. Feel free to do your own Google search.

But, for God's sake, do not pay $500 for a power board!

If it's still under warranty the TV Service Shop will fix it for free if they are a qualified Polaroid servicer. If not I believe you are having problems with the power supply board not sending the Audio board the right voltage. Could be the Audio board itself. A Good TV Service Shop should be able to fix it. May cost you between $100 to 200 for the repair.

Pin 93 of the MPU IC9003 monitors the status of the SC, SU, SD board. During normal operation, the photo-coupler PC6480 outputs a low to pin 93. If the SC, SU, or SD board becomes defective, a high is provided to pin 93. As a result, the unit shuts down and the power LED blinks 7 times.
