How can I check warranty status of my samsung mobile... I have purchased mobile in Nov. 2009 and now it has problem that "Insert Simcard" even sim card is inserted in it. Yesterday I went to Samsung Service Centre at Maninagar, Ahmedabad and they say that without bill we cant repair. I have lost my bill due to renovation of house. so, Is there any other way to proove that cell is under warranty. i.e. on box mfg. date is Nov. 2009.

that s because there may be some problem in the sim card holder or the sim card holder is in loose contact ...

just open the handset and remove and clean the sim card holder with some alcoholic solvent and refit that correctly and then get your mobile phone working for the sim cards ...

Your phone is asking for a code because it is locked to only work with one phone company. If your new sim is from a different company, you can request the unlock code from your old company, they may or may not give it to you (tmobile usually does, ATT/Cingular usually doesn't). The other option is to use a unlocking service, you can find plenty on ebay. If you didn't change phone companies, your new sim card is most likely bad, have your phone company send you another one.

How to install sim card
For most of the phone,sim card will be install at the back of your mobile phone. These are the steps on how to: 1. Turn off your mobile phone. 2. Remove the back case gently. 3. Remove the battery as well. 4. Theres instruction at the back of your phone on where to place the simcard and on how to insert it. 5. Make sure you properly inserted the sim card so you wont recieve offline mode error. 6. Plug back the battery. 7. Return the back cover. 8. Turn on your phone,then your good to go. remember that there are some phones wherein the simcard slot is on the side part of the phone. for this kind of phones,all you have to do is just lift the cover of the simcard slot then slowly insert the sim properly then turn on the phone and your good to go.

Hi,where did you purchased your mobile? because if you have purchased in contract it will not allow you to insert other provider's SIM so to get rid of this you have to unlock your mobile..you can try unlock codes either from your provider or can get it from online providers..once i got unlock code for my mobile from theunlockarena and unlocked my mobile..you can too try getting codes for your mobile..but before that check whether unlock codes are available for your country and provider..

You need to have a simcard. If you already have one inserted, then remove the simcard from your mobile phone, then reinsert it back. It is usually found behind the battery. If you are still having the same error, then you might need to change your simcard.

It means that your mobile is locked with particular network..to overcome this problem you have to unlock your mobile..there are many ways of unlocking of that unlocking via codes is the safe and best way of unlocking..you can try unlock codes from your provider or can get it from online providers..one of my friend got unlock code for his mobile from mobile-unlocker and unlocked his mobile and you can too try getting codes from them and get your mobile unlocked safely..but before that check whether unlock codes are available for your country and provider..

You can try a different sim to check if the problem is within the phone. If any case the cellphone recognize the new simcard it only means that the 1st simcard that youve use is faulty.If the cellphone still wont recognize the new sim card then it only means that the problem is within the phone. You can check if the phone still have a warranty for repair free of cost or bring it to a cellphone technician to fix it

Remember insert a SIM Card that is supported by your mobile phone it may be locked to a certain provider

Cannot copy contacts from phone to sim card
previously check the phonebook memory status of ur sim it might be full some old simcard provides very less contact storage varies from 10 - 250 for newer sims if sim is full then u can not copy contacts in it
or if it is not though then u can check ur sim by copying contact from inserting it in another phone if it works then ur mobile is faulty
Or check it vice versa

INSERT SIM
If the display says "Insert SIM," it means that the phone has no contact with your subscription card (SIM card) that is inserted in the phone. We recommend that you remove the battery and the SIM card, and clean the connectors on the SIM card and the phone with a soft brush, cloth or Q-tip moistened with any type of unflavored colorless alcohol.
At the same time, check that the card is not damaged or worn in any way, in that case, the connector may not align with the connector in the phone. Please contact your operator / carrier for a new SIM card.
