My Lexmark X7350 is not compatible with Vista. Is there a patch? I get the error message that it is not connected to a USB Port. As far as I know, it is. Help!

however recently they have updated the windows vista driver to also work with windows 7
Please click on the link below and choose windows vista 32 or vista 64 based on the version you have and download the driver you need.
Please turn off your printer / remove the usb cable uninstall / remove the old driver file and then install the downloaded new driver connect the printer when it is specified to do so and enjoy using your old printer with windows 7. :)
The Lexmark X7350 printer is compatible with Windows operating system only. You can download the driver from the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/9zceAX. Choose the right driver for your operating system. Use the Vista driver in Windows 7. Thank you for being a Lexmark customer.
I had this problem with my Compaq laptop and X7350 and I contacted Lexmark and they gave me a patch to run called "UACpatch.exe" or something like that and it fixed my problem.
that's really and truly weird. Which end of the cable are you having trouble with. For this printer, the end that fits into the back of the printer, is more square, than long. The other end is the USB side. Do I have this correct, regarding the cable?
Looks like I've cracked it [Touches wooden desk]. Need a USB to IEEE 1284 36-pin Parallel Printer Cable, like the one I received today (ordered yesterday from www.cables2u.co.uk). First, connect it to Z11. Turn on Z11 and boot up Vista PC/laptop. (I run Vista Business on my laptop.) Connect cable to computer. Message appears "Installing device driver software". Click it for status. 'Found New Hardware' box appears. Click 'Locate and install driver software'. A message appears "Error loading LXADSUI.DLL. Specified module could not be found". Click 'OK'. Message appears saying driver software installed successfully. ["Yeah, right ..."] (Have faith, folks!) Now, click Start, then Control Panel and double-click Printers. Right click on Z11 and click on Set As Default Printer. Right click on Z11 again and click on Properties. Check on Ports tab that Port USB is ticked for Z11. On Cartridge Maintenance tab, check right cartridge is showing. If not, click 'Install/Change Cartridge' and follow instructions. Then 'Clean Print Nozzles' and 'Align Cartridges'. Check settings on the other tabs in Properties look OK and try printing a test page! It looks good to me!
there are not many connections for this printer.. when u say "I need to make sure the printer is connected right". U need the power supply to be plugged in. The usb from the printer to the comp. and the telephone wire from the wall outlet to the "Line" jack behined the printer.. if u have an answering machine.. then connect it to the ext port on the back of the printer.. set the answering machine to 3 rings and X7350 to 5 rings... thats all about the connections...
If u dont have a driver CD... then download the drivers from www.lexmark.com for vista
