My audio is not working the hard drive has been wiped clean we manage to repair some of the problem but the only thing is there is no sound card

1. no audio device, if you sound card is integrated , first to CMOS inside look at sound card was disabled or not, then again consider driven of problem,
in device management Manager in look at is has yellow of question mark or is laments,, some words on double-click the device (into driven CD), click Update driven program, by prompted update can (don't said you does not yo).
also directly can be placed in the driver CD to install the driver, after installing your reboot should resolve the issue.

Try installing it manually. Right click computer icon in desktop or start menu -->choose manage --> go to Device Manager --> Find the Audio device that has a Exclamation mark, Right click on the icon and choose update drive. A Hardware update wizard will pop-up tick the last circle that says no, not at this time ->install from a list of specific location ->Search for best driver in these locations tick the include this location in search box and then click Browse.. Choose where the Audio driver is located (either the driver CD or in your computer) and click next.

Hello, I have just wiped my hard drive of Vista home, and installed windows xp, everything seemed ok except I have no sound. I have downloaded updated drivers for it,but it still says there is no Audio...


control panel sounds and audio,volume you can adjust the volume or advanced,speakers select appropriate speakers or audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have selected the right speakers or control panel,administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll to sound,video and game cotrollers could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers

I had my hard drive cleaned up a while ago and my speakers no longer produce sound. I understand the driver / sound card is uninstalled. How can I remedy this?


reinstall the soundcard and driver
control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down to sound and video controllers you should see a yellow question mark? right click to reinstall drivers
control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers select appropriate speakers or audio you will find 3 drop down lists make the necessary adjustments there or control panel,administrive tools,computer management,device manager,sound,could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers

My speakers won't work and they used to work on my computer. i just recently had my computer wiped clean and they are pluged in right but they still won't work.


It sounds like your sound card drivers were not installed, When you say you wiped it clean did you reinstall all the drivers?

Yellow question marks would normally indicate that the drivers aren't installed.

My sound card has been deleted from my computer!


Sounds like the sound card died, it's not unheard of. Plug it into another computer and see if it's recognized.

If your touch pad doesn't work too, there is a connector under the keyboard that affects both the sound and touch pad. It may have come disconnected.

try to find your chipset code, you can using software like "everest" from lavalys to find that driver which compatible your sound card hardware.. you can solve problem by yourself to find driver release from official sound card manufacture.

No sound


Depending on your pc it sounds like you just had either a new version of windows put on your pc or you recently wiped it. You need new drivers downloaded for your sound card if you do not still have the drivers disk that came with your pc try to google search a download,
