Question about Heating & Cooling

Open Question

I have an Amcoraire model AOS091HX that also displays an F1 error code. Fuses were blown on the outside unit. I read about the fix by replacing the capacitors in the middle of the circuit board. I contacted Pridium and was told the circuit boards from China have been on order for six months, so I have nothing to lose by replacing a capacitor or two. Any other advise would be greatly appreciated.

Error code F1 displayed on unit

We had the exact problem with our unit at work. What we did was turned the unit off at the panel and grounded L1A (or B depending on which fan is displaying the error code) at the condenser and then verified that L1 was grounded at the air handler. In our case it was not, so we rolled L1A and L2S at the condenser. This fixed the error code on our units. Evidently the units need the same sequencing on the fans that the condenser has.

Low cool air

Because the model numbers are based on the country in which you bought the unit, you will have to do the research yourself on the error code for your unit. Once you find out what the error code is you can determine if low refrigerant caused the problem. Here is the contact info website to download your manual.
