Plow cylinders seem loose, causing plow to move back and forth. 7.5 HT plow. could this be from low hydraulic fluid? If so what fluid is recommended

Have someone operate the plow as you look for loose parts while it changes direction. Low fluid would likely result in incomplete movement and high pump wear if it continues. You may need to bleed air from the system. You will need to check with the original manufacturer of the plow to find the correct hydraulic fluid and the fluid level required. Good luck!

No air coming through the vents

Sounds like the door that brings in fresh air is not closing enough so when you get to moving it is not letting the cab recirculate the inside air and bringing in some from the outside which comes from the bottom of the windshield on the outside. along with when you get to hitting the gas going down the road you might be loosing a little vacuum and that door going to your vents might close a little.. ? what you thinkin? just a few ideas might not be a fix though thanks Jerry

Over heat after new thermostat

hey Tim, I have a 90 F-250 w/ plow. Did u have overheating issues before, or did u just purchase the truck? As u know u really need a heavy duty cooling system to plow. A truck purchased for plowing should have the 'plow package' option, which includes heavy duty cooling (engine, which is usually a bigger radiator) heavy duty battery and alternator, trans. cooler, heavy duty front end (for extra plow weight). So, my question is, is this a new problem, or not? My truck is set up for the plow, but I still have to watch the temp. gauge. I only have temp issues when driving down the road, plow up, not doing the actual plowing (sounds like your problem too). The plow up position blocks all incoming air to the radiator, so try driving with the plow as low as possible, and angle it all the way to one side, this will let the air flow, and works well w/ my truck. Let me know if this works for u or not. Curt
