Hi,

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

Temp alarm light won't go out on door panel

Look for a reset. Some units require some type of action to clear an alarm and you might need to find the clear or reset button. I'm curious why temp. Climbed to 53?

Avanti outdoor beverage cooler (new), should temperature lights go off? How do I know what the temp is, if the lights go off? It appears to go off for no reason. Owners manual mentions door gasket?? I

The temp lights might indicates the actual temp settings havent reach the programmed settings. If its on and off coz it try to recover the temp lose after it drop below prog. Temp. Monitor it first if its cooling must be normal only.

I replaced my temp sensoe and it reads ccd

Hi Glenn, I'm glad to help! Here's how you check the Ambient Temp Sensor circuit itself to see if its working properly. Disconnect the Ambient Temp Sensor Connector. If the temp reading go to the default mode it will show 40 degrees. If it doesn't go to 40 Degrees then thyere something wrong with the system. Could be wiring or display itself. If it does go to 40 degrees then I'd try another sensor and see what happens. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Glenn.

I have 2 zones, both of which are programmed. The display for zone 2 works fine. When I am looking at zone 1, the desired heating and cooling temps display as -- with no temps there. The system is set on...

Are these reading temps at 2 separate tstats or are you using temp sensors that send the temp back to the stat. It sounds like the sensor is not communicating with the stat.

Why does the freezer portion temp indicator bounces between 0 and -12 degrees periodically.

Temps should fluctuate, as the refrigerator will go into a defrost mode every so often. Some models will go into defrost mode after you open the freezer door X amount of times, say 6. So every 6th time you open the door it will go into defrost. Then some models go every 4 to 6 hours depending on settings. Then also, it is normal due to temp control. Temp setting is -10 The fridge will run to that temp setting, -10 and shut off the compressor at -10 but due to pressures it will still cool a bit to your -12. it will stay in this off mode until the temp rises 8 to 10 degs. then kicks back on the compressor. Again due to pressures it may take the system 2 - 3 degs to catch back up and start cooling again. But you maintain average temp of -5 to -6 which is great for frozen food and saves a bit of electricity. As long as the door seals are in good shape and you clean the coils underneath once twice a year it should work fine for many years. Then lastly It may have a lag in the thermostat meaning it has gotten week or going bad. Hope this helps.
