Re: Fisher Paykel dryer
Buzzing sound generally come from the motor assy, not necessarily a bad motor however. try opening the front door and along the inside of the top of opening is 2 phillips screws the top will tip back and then removing 2 5/16 screws from inside the font panel will remove giving you access to the motor blower assy.. it is possible that something( baby sock, small undergarment) has fallen inti the blower preventing free spin also resulting in a buzzing noise, if so simply remove debris and reassemble.

Size setting Action - Reselect the size of Smartdrive by using the SIZE SETTING MODE. Push and hold
the water temp up button, then press the power button to enter SIZE SETTING MODE. Three
LEDs are used to identify size.
The cold water temperature LED identifies 5kg.
The low water level LED identifies 6kg.
The hold spin speed LED identifies 7kg.
If the product has not been setup before all 3 LEDs will be on.
To set the size for 5kg push the wash temp up button then
the power button.
To set the size for 6kg push the water level up button then the power button.
To set the size for 7kg push the spin speed up button then the power button.
This locks the size
into memory. To check the size is set, start a cycle.
Hi just found your posting.Do you still require help?Sounds like a lid switch fault to me.Does the machine beep when you push the start button. Please reply for further help.Looking forward to your reply.
Sounds like a motor problem Check the motor harness, connectors and motor for discontinuity. This can be done by taking a resistance measurement between phases of the motor harness at the motor control mudule end.should be approx 32 ohms. You can also check at the motor,I have seen a few open circuit connections where the motor connections (spade clips) Push into the plastic motor housing,Hope this helps.
have you checked the motor of the washer (check the supply across the motor terminals and if you find normal supply motor should be changed and if you find no supply then check the circuit of the motor.
