Question about Samsung S860 Digital Camera

1 Answer

There appears to be dust in the lens because when I look at the screen I can see a little dot in the middle. Also it makes a weird beep sound when I turn it off and sometimes the lens will not go back in the camera.

Yep, you have dirt / grit inside your camera. It would be best to stop using it now to prevent further damage. Then contact a local camera shop that is able to disassemble your camera enough to get the dirt removed from the interior of the camera, as well as to flush the grit from the lense assembly. Wolfs camera used to be able to do this, as well as Barry's, consider using one of those if they are nearby.

The solutions on that problem is in the imaging unit like you just have to clean the lens of the camera since tiny dots are dust that is being scnned by the lens during master making process

Small white dots all over the screen. Looks like dust

If the dots cant be blown off the lens, or appear rectangular in shape when looked at close up, then you have pixel failure. If so, then the DMD chip probably needs replacing.

Hi, my name is Frank. My 55VF820 LCD Rear Projection Television started out with tiny little blue mega pixle dots in about a ten inch c-shape in the corner of the screen. Can still watch the TV, it seems...

Hi Frank, Your problem sounds like the projected image had been distorted by dust. Make sure your lamp is clean, then the lens, and then check to make sure there isn't any dust on the lcd itself. Good Luck!

There is a little black dot in all of my pictures. it appears on the LCD screen too. There is nothing on the outside of the lens, however. What is this from? the camera is a canon 450d

It's probably dust on the sensor. You can clean it yourself but you will need to educate yourself on the procedure and get the proper equipment. Google the words...how to clean a dslr sensor.

My playstation 2 makes a weird clicky sound when I try to play some of my dvds or games and sometimes it comes up with disk error or unable to read disk and its a brand new disk

Your PS2 lens is displaced from its original position that is what scratching your Discs and makes weird noises too. There can possibly be another reason for them ,your PS2's reading lens is dirty and it is covered by a layer of dust that scratches your Discs and makes sounds too.
You should first clean the lens of your PS2 watch this video to know how to clean your PS2's lens:

Disk read errors are mainly due to dirty or worn out lens,so clean your PS2's lens to get rid of this problem and as for that sound that will get fixed by cleaning lens if still it makes that sound then you will have to take your PS2 to repairer to set the lens height.
Thank you!

Debris Within the Lens Body

The dust you describe is likely to be on the sensor (more acurately the filter in front of the sensor) not in the lens, otherwise it would not appear as hair and dust spots.

If the camera you are using is a digital SLR camera, you can clean the sensor filter. This is one of many websites that provide useful information on sensor cleaning.

2 ISSUES: 1) Pencil tip size dot in the middle of the projection. 2) weird smell coming from projector vent.

might be a speck of dirt on your lens, possibly on the inside. I assume youe have wiped the outside of the lens? ;-) (I have to ask) If the dot seems to be following pixels exactly your projector might be broken. The smell might be from some dirt or possible an insect in the projector. Try using compressed air to blow out any dirt and dust. It might just be dirt acumulated over time that is burning to create the smell. t t might be a long shot, but if the bulb is easily removed, yo ou might try to shine a flashlight through the lens to see if there is dirt on the lens inside. If you adjust the image size mechanically, or use lens shift, does the speck move on the picture? If so, it's probably on the lens.
