Question about GE Profile PDS22MHR Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

1 Answer

I have a GE PROFILE pds22mhr and the freezer seems to be getting warmer. I took the back panel off and places some house fans on the coils and it seems to be dropping in Temp. I think the fan is no good does anyone know how to test it?

Listen in the freezer side for the fan if you cannot hear or feel the air or fan running you probably need to replace it. Remove the back panel in the freezer to access the fan motor.

If this was helpful please rate me.
IMUFO2
Leo Ponder Appliance-Tyler,Texas
imufo2@sbcglobal.net

Fridge not getting cold.....still

Hello Nick,

Don't let your frustrations get the best of you...
WE can do this...!!

Defrost consists of only three (3) parts...

- Control board (or timer, not in your case:
(see below)).. A common problem.

- Defrost heater element (to melt the "FROST"
(seldom fails)
- DEFROST THERMOSTAT
(to keep the temp DOWN)

The EASIEST but most expensive part is the
DEFROST control board.

Take lots of pictures before removing any wires.

My GE deep freezer seems to be getting warmer. There only seems to be a freezer sensor panel. Does this mean that the sensor is broken or is there another way to get the freezer back to a deep freeze?
