I had the same problem. I brought it into a repair facility and they took care of it. It appears that the trigger mechanism is a plastic shaft that warps over time, so what they did was to "extend" the shaft so when I pull the trigger, it actually pushes the plunger up farther and allows more water out.

You can test this by taking out the top water tank and manually depressing the plunger on the bottom, does water come out on your hand? (do this over the sink! :-))

When you look at the seal on the unit itself, does the plunger go up and down a little when you pull the trigger? If there's a small amount of water in the little "cup", does it go down?

Hoover floor mate sucks up water while in the wash position

They do that. They pickup the water in all stages but lower the squeegee to different heights. At no point does the suction turn off.

How to fix clog on hoover floormate fh40010?

I was having the same issue with my NEW just out of box Hoover FH40010. First run on the floor was great then the water/cleaner stopped dispensing!!! I found that when is assembled it out of the box I did not have the handle "plugged-in" properly!! I reattached it to where there is NO gap in the handle when pushed firmly into place and locked in the base. WATER SOLUTION NOW WORKS PERFECTLY!!!

Vacuum not releasing liquid for floorr wash

There are two reasons this might occur. First is that the wheel assembly is broken. Turn the machine over and check for breakage at the rear edge where the wheel carriage attaches to the housing. If it is broken, water will not be released, and the wheel assembly must be replaced. The soap tank on this model was also prone to problems. Sometimes it would fail to release fluid for unknown reasons, and had to be replaced.

Do you put water in the big compartment under the solution compartment when wet washing your floor

You put water and Hoover Cleaning Solution into the top tank. Push down on the release button at the top of the tank just below and in front of the handle. The cap is also your measuring cup. Fill it with the Hoover Cleaner Concentrate. Pour that into the tank and fill it to the fill line with warm water.
The dirty water will be extracted into the bottom tank.

Floormate stopped vacuming water

I'll answer last question first. Your floormate has a 1 year warranty. And should be taken in for repair.

Your issue of not picking up water, is related to suction and getting the dirty water to the recovery tank. check for obstruction in the nozzle, check the filter for debris clogging. If you have an issue with this dealer I would call customer support.

My floormate isn't picking up the wet water

Check the uptake tube. When you push the release button and bend the top of the unit towards you, you can see the tube coming out of the floor assembly. Mine split right there.

Floormate will not **** dirty water.

Check the hose coming out of the floor assembly. It tends to split, keeping it from picking up the water

Hoover floormate problem

I found a solution posted by someone elsewhere on this website. Try doing a search for Hoover Floormate H3000... The posted solution is as follows:

Remove the liquid dispenser and set it aside. Locate the plastic "plunger" piece in the machine that is surrounded by a black rubber circle (the one on my machine is blue/grey in color...). Place a small drop of hot glue on top of this plastic "plunger" piece and let it dry. Replace the liquid dispenser and test the machine. This solved my problem and my machine dispenses liquid properly again!

I really appreciate the original poster who posted this simple solution.

Hoover floormate 3060

You should first check to make sure that the machine is set on wet pick up and not dry. When in dry mode ( the front foot pedal on the left side) the machine is held slightly above the floor. When is wet mode, the squeegees drop down to the floor. The other problem may be the wheel assy is broken. Turn the machine over and check the black plastic wheel carrier at the back of the assy to see if the pivots are broken.
