Question about Weber Genesis S-320 Propane Grill

1 Answer

Weber genesis S 320: Most BBQs have a hole in the side to run the propane line from the tank in the cart to the burner insert. The side panels on this seem to have no hole. Perhaps a small space right at the top back. Is this the spot or did i get a unit with two left side panels!

Your correct. As looking at it, the right side panel has a hole just larger in Dia than the Regulator to fit thru. Feed it through to the inside of your cabinet and connect. There is also a Propane indicator that I haven't hooked up yet. Enjoy.

Normally, at least on an American grill hose/regulator assembly are a universal fit. And both ends of the hose have female couplings. I would think it would be the same on German Models too. For the connection to the grill, the hose coupling size is 3/8" ID.

My Weber Genesis Silver only lights on the first burner. The second and third burner are not lighting.

Close the propane tank valve and disconnect the hose/regulator from the tank. Reconnect the propane tank and very slowly open the tank valve. You may have opened the valve too fast causing the built-in excess flow to close to a trickle. If you still have issues, let me know and I'll dig deeper. Douglas

Try these steps in order.
  1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank
  2. Disconnect the gas line from the tank
  3. Open the grill lid
  4. Turn all control valves to high
  5. Wait for about a minute
  6. Turn all control valves to off
  7. Reconnect the gas line to the tank
  8. SLOWLY turn on the gas at the tank
  9. Light the grill normally
  10. Your grill should now heat normally

One side seems clogged, no propane gets through.

More than likely you can fix it yourself. Remove the burner that's not working or if the burners are joined remove the entire burner unit. Check small holes around edge og burner for anything that may be clogging them. I've used a round toothpick or a small nail to poke each hole gently to make sure it's clear. replace the burner and try agin, it should work fine. In the worst case the burner needs replacing. This can also be done yourself. Purchase the burner from a large hardware store or contact Weber for a replacement.
