HI. This is essentially an ERC or Electronic Range Control Board failure code. The relays are welded or the logic sector has failed. You will need to replace the control board that is mounted in the control section of the unit. The affected board is mounted on a bracket in the control panel. There is a wiring harness pug that will nee dot be removed before the board can be extracted for replacement. Just replace the old with the new and plug the new board into the harness connectors. be sure to label the connectors so that you wont forget were they connect.

Replacing the ERC will correct this fault and return your unit to its factory status.

We are getting an f5 code on our ge oven when we try to bake or clean.

F5 error code means the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) is faulty and requires replacement.

To solve it just replace ERC.

Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

I am trying to run the self cleaning oven and keep getting a toubleshooting code of e1 f5. Not sure what this means or how to fix it/

Hello- The code you describe- E1 F5 - indicates a problem with the door switch. This little switch tends to fail during or after the 'self-clean' function is used. The switches are difficult to get to on some of these units so plan on just replacing it with a new one. This part is available locally at an appliance parts store with a complete model # from range tag. When power is re-connected, door motor should cycle back to correct position. Remember- techs call it 'self-destruct', so avoid 'self-clean'. The tried and true cleaning methods are a lot less destructive on the circuits and electronics. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. Thanks- Ed.

The door latch assembly has gone bad. You will need to replace this assembly to fix problem. No way of safely bypassing. Sorry hope this helps.

Self Cleaning oven has error code

Hi
I have found the code for you and hoe this gets you no the right track.Let me know how it goes.
F5 Relay safety circuit failure · Check oven temperature sensor circuit for intermittent high resistance.
· Check lock circuit
· Press Clear/Off and reprogram control. If code reappears, replace control

Note: If all above check OK the F5 code can be a result of a momentary loss of power (Do NOT replace control or lock, check lock circuit)
Thank you for writing to fix ya.
Best Regards Richard

Have you checked the back of your oven? In the top left corner you SHOULD find a manual taped there.
