Question about Toshiba Satellite M30 Notebook
Hi, a good friend of mine gave me a laptop he bought a couple of years ago. The problem is that the power on password has been lost to us for a long time.
Is there any way of reseting or getting pass the power on bios password
You can by shorting the CMOS/BIOS battery connector for 30 sec's with a resister pack (2.4 KOhms), but if you don't have any PC repair experience, don't try it!
"You can blow the motherboard if you get it wrong.."
I suggest you take it to a Toshiba repair shop, it will cost about $100 to have them do it for you.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
