I bought a non-working "parts only" identical camera from EBay for $25, and I was able to remove it's batt door. And was able to take to broken door off my camera, and replace it. Now, it's really small work, so I hope you don't have big fingers. You have to be slow and patient. The only tools I needed were one of those tiny "watch" screwdrivers, and a pair of good tweezers. Remove all the visible phillips screws until the back of the camera case lets you know its ready to come off. Fit tolerances are almost microscopic, so it takes courage and care to see what you have to do to remove the front cover also (another screw or two). I practiced on the EBay LCD-broken camera first. Now, the batt door has a hinge pin that you can then pull out with tweezers, but first study the tiny door spring to make sure you know how it goes back. Withdraw the pin and capture the spring. Replace the door, and put everything back together in reverse. In the process I was careful not to touch anything in the camera that's electronic for fear of electrostatic discharge from my fingers that might "fry" something. Feel gratified for having beat the "not user serviceable" Kodak camera repair industry. Saved maybe $75, plus didn't have to buy a new camera.

Mem test failure replace Dimm 0

There is only one DIMM slot in the printer.
Unplug the printer, disconnect the interface cable.
Remove the right side cover by sliding it to the rear.
Open the metal access door by pulling on the metal tab located at the left side of the door.
You will see the DIMM, reseat it, plug in the power cord and power up. It will power on with these covers open. If the error comes back, you will have to buy a replacement DIMM. Take the bad one with you to match. BestBuy, Radio Shack or any computer store even Walmart should carry them. They are "keyed", so they only can go in one way.

Trouble DL no start

The machine requires the door to lock prior to starting any cycle. Sometimes, the door lock connector comes loose. Try this:

1. UNPLUG THE MACHINE FIRST
2. Open the door and remove the retaining spring on the rubber bellow that connects it to the metal front panel.
3. Peel the bellow open on the door lock side (roughly 3 o'clock position)
4. At this point, you can reach in and feel the door lock assembly and the wiring that comes into the bottom of it. Wiggle the connector a bit and push it upward to be sure the contacts are being made.
5. Reassemble everything, plug it in and give it a try. If this doesn't help, you may need to have the door lock replaced.

Good luck.

Door locked.... tried to unplug and cancel button - still not open??

Try holding end cycle button for 30 seconds if no. Then try reset process Press "Pause/Cancel" two times to cancel the cycle. Press "Drain/Spin" if there is water in the tub. Unplug the or disconnect power for two minutes, then plug the washer back in or reconnect power. If no then here is the manual open process. Unplug the power cord of the washer from the outlet. Locate the toe panel. This is the section of metal at the bottom of the front of the washer, directly below the door. Remove the three screws on the bottom flange of the toe panel, which connect it to the washer. Lift the panel slightly and pull it forward to remove. Manually unlock door Reach up inside the front panel and locate the door latch assembly on the right side of door.Feel for a tear-drop shaped tab on the bottom of the door latch assembly. This tab will manually unlock the door.Gently pull down on tab about 1/4 inch or until you hear a click. The door should open.

I paused the wash cycle to add a garment. I can't get it to start again. I can open the door and the light is blinking, but it will not restart.

  1. I had the exact same problem. Just fixed it. If there are no error codes (F xx, showing on the display) then it's probaly the door closed sensor. At least that's what mine was with same problem. Most likely, it's simply the connector to the sensor that's shaken loose. The unit thinks the door is not closed and will not do anything including trying to lock the door (the latching you hear when first starting a load). slide the washer out so you can get to the rear. Might have to disconnect all the hoses and power, which for me was the hardest thing of all since it's in a cabinet. Anyway, remove the back metal panel by removing about 12 Torx screws and the four plastic slide latches. then remove the top (just three more torx screw on the back that hold the top in place. looking from the inside of the unit down by where the door normally latches there are several electrical connectors (don't forget to unplug the power). one or more of these is probably loose. Mine was the top one. That's it. Note also, there's a pamplet inside with lot's of troubleshooting information. It's taped to the right side panel inside. I'd take it out so you can refer to it later, if needed. why they don't put it in with the owner's manual, i have no idea. It's written for the consumer, though it does have a simple schematic that might be helpful.

Error codes on xerox 212

An E5 most frequently comes from the door connector . When you open the right side on the upper left there is a black connector. Those contacts may be dirty or bent. Carefully clean and reform if necessary. I will send you some other info to follow.
Also if you take the copy cartridge out and and clean all the contacts inside the machine you can see, it may also correct it.

Recurring problem with E5. Door connector has been replaced, contacts on Interconnect board are clean and shiny, but interlock connection still not reliable. When you remove the rear motor cover and press on the door connector, the E5 goes away and the fuser starts to warm up. The door connector is mounted loosely to the door to allow it to locate itself with the interconnect board when the door is closed. If it is too loose, the connector will not make good enough contact to complete the interlock circuit

Broken door spring on kitchenaid dishwasher

kitchenaid should be made to recall all of these dishwashers that have that string holding door since it could pose a hazzard to children. They should be made to put in a metal cable at no cost to the consumer

Door falls open

I have had this issue TWICE now on a three year old dishwasher, and Sears charges you $150.+ to fix it. It is quite simple to fix, there is a special part that has all the pieces attached to it, except for the spring. You will have to remove the screws that are holding your dishwasher under the counter. This could be behind the rubber on the sides. I had to remove a gray plastic circle piece on the inside to see the screw (it pops right out, don't loose it!). Pull out the machine enough to see the out side- side. You will see a (plastic) white roller, string(rope), and a piece that attaches to the dishwasher. There is a number on the white plastic piece that looks like a L (it just slides out). Thess pieces are called the Dishwasher Door Balance Link. You will need to order these pieces, they are all inclusive, and come for both sides of the door, at a whopping price of $15.00. VERY simple to install. Attach one end to the spring, line up in roller then attach to the dishwasher. It is easier to look at it and follow what is on the dishwasher than me clearly explaining it. I feel that paying $1000.00 dollars for a dishwasher would warrant using metal pieces instead of substandard plastic, for this application. These door are very Heavy and like I have said I have replaced them twice with a waiting time of three weeks for the repair man. Please try it, you can do it.
