I purchased the janome digitizer pro a year ago and unfortunately i have lost the dongle to access the programme. I have phoned the stockist where i bought it from and they have told me I have to purchase the whole programme again at 445.00 as they will not replace the dongle... I have to say that this is ridiculous as i now have the programme still but cannot access it. If i bought a new car and lost the keys i could purchase new ones but buy a digitizer pro and lose the key and your programme is useless. I cannot claim it on my house insurance as i told them it was lost and they said if it was damaged i could claim or if it was stolen i could claim.but not if i lost it.... can anyone tell me if they have had the same problem and if so how did you go about it.... I appreciate your time and thank you Debbie
I also have this problem I didn't lose it but it nolonger works I don't know what is wrong it acts like it isn't connecting I think it got bent in a move but have had trouble finding one also so if anyone out there knows what i can do please let me know
Sorry, but this is how its done with all software who are protectet with a dongle.
Its the only way for a software producer to not have their software copyed onto serveral computers.
If they started to replase lost dongles, they would have to do it to all customers who say they have lost it. I think this could be miss used, to get a second copy of the software to a low price or free. (not that i think you are doing this).
We are using software from Pulse microsystem, and our dongle cost more than $10.000 each.

I just got an email this morning from Wilcom that suggested that they are working on something for a Mac. "Wilcom Elements 3" If another expense for new software isn't an option I would consider getting a secondary computer.... a PC.
If you can run PC at all... go to a pawn shop and buy one specifically for your embroidery machine. A couple years ago I got a 1 year old PC for my husband for $60 at a local pawn shop. I needed to clean out the former owner's personal pictures and tax info... but I was able to access and restore the factory settings and it runs like new.
Hi, I downloaded (for free) a copy of the Envision 8006 (and 8007 supplement) manual from the Elna website 2 1/2 years ago. The Envision 8007 is the same as the Janome Memory Craft 5700. I can email you a copy of the manual.
I'm going to assume that you mean the Digitizer 2000 software.
Unfortunately, your best bet will be to either wait and see if another copy (complete with dongle) shows up on eBay or upgrade to the Digitizer 10000 version (while Customizer 10000 is NOT compatible with the MC9000, Digitizer 10000 IS), either via your local dealer or snagging it on eBay.
Right now, there's two auctions on eBay for the Dig 10000. It seems to run roughly around $300-400.
This must be wrong. As long as you have the dongle, and its an original one. Janome should swap it for a new one. You might have to pay for the exchange but it should be aloot cheeper than buying a new.
If not, send me an email on tonje (at) tonje . no and I will give you a good price for a new Digitizer Pro v.2.0
Digitizer 10000 v2.21 might run in compatibility mode on Vista, but there's no gaurantees. Even the latest digitising suite Digitiser Pro/MB is experiencing problems running in Vista 32 and as yet has no real fix (driver) for Vista 64.
