They use the same belts as anders nicholson, email me and I'll get one off a broken unit. Just to make sure measure the length if you still have it. rogzjaji@yahoo.com

I have an compact disc stereo system, disc, radio works. phono not working, why ?

I live in California but I do have a memorex system with the same components. My belt fell off my turntable so it didn't turn. It took a bit of patience but I was able to get the belt back on. The turntable is held down by a clip on the spindle. The belt might have to be replaced if it keeps falling off. It will do that if its been used alot. While the turntable is off, if you move the arm you can see if the turntable motor will turn on too. That would be the only other problem you can have on that unit. The repair cost might be more than what the unit cost. Just be patient and careful and you probably can fix it yourself.

Turntable doesn't play

If the turntable stopped spinning then then the turntable belt maybe broken or has slipped off the drive.

Volume Level on Memorex 9299M 4-in-1 Turntable System Way Too Low

It's the nature of the all-in-one turntable beast to be low fi and low performance. Too much volume and vibration would feed back through the turntable.

It does have a Line Out that you could slave over to REAL electronics and speakers.

Perhaps you have a broken wire in the headshell, or just a bad connection. Try removing the headshell to examine, if there's no break, try cleaning the contact pins that mate the headshell to arm connections.

I am in a similar situation. I recently discovered that exact model turntable in our storage room. The Philips 312. While looking it over, I noticed the stylus is broken. I was wondering where you purchased yours?

Check the drive band- it may have come off the pulley. But if it is a new purchase then perhaps it should go back to the vendor
