Question about Washing Machines
It is possible that the selected heat on the higher level is having a very low resistance and so is regarded as a short .Since this is drawing high current the unit is switching off.
The second possible issue can be that the thermostat does not get calibrated with a higher setttings, maybe an error with the control unit.
For this when the unit is set on higher level the reason to cut off and beep is because that the control unit does not approve off the settings. So check on the voltage when this is set to confirm if there is any fault in the control unit. This is if the first solution does not work.

Hello Scott Joseph Brandt - Since you have already replaced the thermal limiter check your breaker or fuses. Some dryers are run by two separate fuses, one for power and one for heat-ours is. If it is not the power source more than likely the issue lies with your heating coil.
