Remove the battery from the remote for one day. See if it stays off. If it does replace the remote

How can I turn off the lights on a ceiling fan?

Try to find the breaker that controls power going to that fan/light, turn the breaker off, wait 5-10 minutes, then return breaker to the on position, doing so 'may' be able to reset the control board inside the fan itself. If this has no success, the lighting control board is malfunctioning, if still under warranty, you have options outside of replacing the complete fixture.

16 Inch Stand Fan with Remote Control (SD10-2) W wont stop roating

Hi Kayla...I have a granddaughter (whom I adore) named Kayla...:). I'm not sure if you found your problem yet, but it sounds like it has something to do with your remote control. If you give me some more information, I might be able to help you better. However, if you're able to turn the fan on and off without the remote control - does that solve your problem. Otherwise, read in your manual (if you got one, or were given this) to see if they have a troubleshooting guide. At least its rotating, cause I usually hear about them when they stop rotating...:) Best of luck, and I hope you found your solution already - otherwise, I'll be more than willing to help you through the process. Take care...Jim

My Hunter Douglas ceiling fan/light operates with a wall remote. It suddenly stopped working. When I tried out putting in a new battery the fan still does not work but the light turns on bright briefly,...

rats have gotten into your electrical wirings, probably gnawed the wires to fan totally and partially on the lights, might still find the dead rat on the wirings.

Fan slows down and also stops suddenly on its own

motor windings are going bad. The winding swell as electricity goes through them putting pressure on the shaft. The reason it shuts down is for safety so it won't overheat and start a fire. Recommend replacement. Hope this helped Good luck
