When i send my document to print, it keeps being picked up by the bypass tray instead of the default tray. Ive checked all my settings on the computer, but nothing has resolved the issue yet. Please help.

N your computer, left click on START, left click on CONTROL PANEL, then left click on PRINTERS. On the PRINTERS SCREEN, RIGHT CLICK on GESTETNER icon. On the drop down menu, left click on PROPERTIES. Left click on ACCESSORIES tab. On the paper source setting, select TRAY 1 LETTER as the default paper source, left click on UPDATE, then APPLY, then OK.

Sorry unfortunately I can not figure out what is going wrong here. It could be the way MS word is sending the document to the printer, the only thing I can think of is that it may be that you do not have the page setup of the document set to legal. There may be something in word that also allows you to send the document to the bypass tray as opposed to the default tray.
if that is when your printing you have to check and be sure the paper tray size is set correctly. You press the machine status button and make sure, tray 1, 2 and the bypass are set to the proper size paper.
You'll have to set up the paper settings within the copier to reflect heavy paper for the bypass tray. You'll need to make this a default setting. Then when you print out with heavy paper via the print drivers it should pick up automatically at the printer.
there are two places to set the paper tray on the ricoh aficio 2035 print drivers first make sure you are using the PCL 5 drivers not pcl6 or rpcs then go to the printers folder and set the defaults by right clicking the printer and selecting properties printing preferences, then go into word and select print set up and properties then defaults for printer select bypass tray and select labels enter the correct sheet size for the labels from the drop down box click apply and you should be set.
if this resolves your issue please rate my anser accordingly
If you can copy from the bypass, you should be able to print from it. It may be a setting in the print driver. Not the one you use through windows but the one installed in the printers folder in control panel. Check that it is not set to draw 1 - it should be on AUTO. Also, the document you are using has print settings of its own - check them as they will overide the tray you select. Select from within your document file - options - printer then look through those settings and anything telling the machine to print to a particular draw will make your job go there instead of where you ask it to.
