Question about Dell InspironTM XPS M1210 Notebook
There are 3 posibilities...either the lcd is gone ...and in this case you need to replace it ...or the connection ribbon it either damaged or it is out from the plug ...or ..there is the 3rd possibility what the laptop is on the external monitor set-up ..and in this case you have to enable from the video driver the no1 monitor ..,,just plug the external to have control ...and press the Fn key ..and the f key with the monitor symbol on it ..usually it is the f4 key ..but pay attention onthe symbol and that it is the hot key for enabling and disabling the monitor ..
Another thing you can do is to go to bios by pressing the F2 key on start ..and there engage the optimal factory defaults..and confirm ..and save changes by pressing the F10 key ..This should reenable the monitor if it was disabled by mistake ..
Another thing to keep in mind..is that even disabled the monitor should flash at least the logo on start if it is still functional ..if it is doing nothing at all.than it is damaged..and need replace ..
