Are you printing document with color or black only? You might have not selected the "Black ink" only from the "printing preferences". Once you click the "print" from the document, you'll see another smaller windows with several tabs and options, before you click print once again, click "printing preference", another window will pop up. On the new window, click "color" and then, click "Print in Grayscale", there's you see another option "High quality", click it and you'll see another list of options as drop down "Black ink only", select it and click "Ok", you'll be directed to the first "Print" page, now click "Print". You'll get the normal print.

If you are printing in color and getting the same result, there's must be another issue. Perhaps drivers or firmware problem.

The above mentioned settings may change once the program/document is closed and in that case, you'll need to re-do the same changes. But if you want to make it default, click "Start" (on the desktop), > "Printers & Faxes" or "Printers....." and right-click the Printer's name (you'll see the printer icon once you click the Printers & Faxes), select "Printing Preference" and make the same changes as mentioned in the first para. The settings will remain default and you'll need to make some changes if you want to print color print-outs.

If you need further help, let me know with more details.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Want to print black and white. How?

Setting the font type color in a Microsoft Office Word document to black will ensure that the document prints the text in black. However, if there are images, graphics or photographs within the document, they will more than likely print in color or hued colors similar to black. To ensure that the entire document prints solely in black ink, you must set the color settings on your individual printer to black-and-white

Instructions:
1.Click "File" and then "Print." To open the print dialogue box using keyboard commands, press "CTRL" and "P" simultaneously.
2.Select the printer you are using at the top of the dialogue box under "Printer" and "Name."
3.Click the "Properties" button next to the selected printer. The dialogue box that appears is different for all users, as it depends on the type of printer being used.
4.Click on a tab, button or selection box indicating "Color." Most options include high-quality color, grayscale and black cartridge only. Choosing grayscale will print the document using various shades of gray and other tones such as blue or green that match the actual hues in the document visible on the screen. A photo or picture that may look black or gray could actually have blue undertones. To print purely in black and white with no undertones, you must select either "black cartridge" or "black and white only."
5.Select "OK" to return to the Microsoft Word printer dialogue box. Press the "Print" button to print the black-and-white document.

I hope you find it very helpful. Thanks.

Whenever I try to print a document on Word, the top of each letter is cut off. Everything on the document looks normal until I print. It is the whole thing that it happens to, not just the first few lines...

This is usually a printer cartridge or printer head issue. Usually you can clean with rubbing alcohol and a swab. Canon printers usually need new print jets.

I can't get my Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W printer to print a Word document. The printer was working a couple of days ago. There is an "error" in the Control Panel window & the print window...

I take a picture using a screen capture program/app then print the picture. It also make it possible to overlay things such as the (faded) word (COPY) on top or underneath it, if you want. When I use the COPY method, I print the faded word COPY first then re-run the paper through to print the rest

Hi! you may press and hold the left button of your mouse from the start of the paragraph till the end of the last sentence of the paragraph that you want to copy. after you highlight the paragraph, you may press CTRL + C button on your keyboard to copy all the sentences, open a word document, right click on the word document and press paste. this will paste the paragraph on the word document. lastly you may press CTRL + P to print the file. Please make sure that the printer is connected to the computer and is on. Thank you for visiting FIxYa.com!

Lexmark 1100 does not print all the words of a document- some words are too faint to read. I have just installed a new cartridge. (Not a refilled cartridge).

The cartridge you installed, is it a Lexmark factory new cartridge or a third party cartridge?

Is it possible that you have the document set up as a gray scale or color document that you are trying to print as a black and white document?

Printer won't print black

When you go to print check to see in your print preferences settings to see if color or black and white is checked. Could also be the specific program's print options you are using to print the pages.
