Question about Computers & Internet
The most likely problem is that it got hit when it was open and something got bent a little or something got pushed out of place. If this is the case, it will need replaced.
One thing you can try, is to take it out and push on the faceplate. In rare circumstances, the faceplate can come out of alignment. If you hear it click into place when you push on it, that may have been the problem, but it is almost surely a problem with something broken or out of place.
