The dispenser mechanism might be faulty or reservoir might be clogged.

Remove drawer front cover (take out pins from each side at bottom).

You can see the reservoir and the mechanism on the right top.

Check if pipe etc has rinse aid in it.
You can run diagnostic but let me know if you are comfortable with checking such stuff by yourself.

Hotpoint Aqualtis throws water out of soap draw during rinse. Have checked pressure switch & tubing. How do you get to the pressure chamber to check for blockage? Could it be anything else?

Hi,
I would remove the dispenser drawer by pressing on the release button, then clean out under the drawer. The reason I say this is I have had a few do this and I found a rinse agent clogging unit it cause the water during rinse to dispense forward and leak on the floor. It not difficult to clean out, this can take up to 10 minutes or so to fix with no parts needed.

Good Luck

White film left on the dishes after going through the dishwasher. Why?

Too much rinse agent. If you are using powder or gel, set pointer knob on rinse agent dispenser to a lower setting. If you were using the tablets, they have rinse agent built into them, and the additional rinse agent from the dispenser equals a double dose, so the film shows up. Stop using tablets until liquid rinse agent dispenser is empty.

I have a Bosch SHU66C02UC/14 dishwasher that leaves a white deposit on the dishes especially plastic drinking glasses. Suggestions are that it is not dispensing enough rinse agent. How can I adjust that...

This could simply be a detergent problem, but is most likely due to a low salt level in the water softener. The salt is used by the water-softener to prevent hard-water deposits which result in white stains on crockery and glasses. There are several things which can cause this:

1. There is no salt in the salt container.
2. The lid on the salt container isn't screwed on properly. (Don't overtighten though!)
3. Water softener is set too low

If you've checked and topped up the salt level and the lid is screwed on fully, then your water softener may be set too low. You should consult your user manual / installation instructions to change the setting.

The white deposits can also be caused by the rinse-agent being set too low. On your washer, the adjustment will be on a dial under the flap where you refill the rinse agent. I think it's numbered 1-5, so if it's set on 1, try number 3, if it's on 3, try 4 or 5. You may have to adjust a couple of times until you get it right.

If this doesn't solve the problem, try changing your detergent. Check the packaging and if your using phosphate-free detergent, try one containing phosphates. Phosphate-free is more eco-friendly though!

Doesn't clean properly, Leaves dry residue in washer

My dishwasher had the same problem. glasses were cloudy, inside the dishwasher was coated with a film, drawers were hard to pull out. tried rinse agents and vinegar and nothing worked. Found lemi-shine at WalMart (it's next to the dishwasher detergent) and the white stuff is gone! no more residue and glasses sparkle again. I was ready to buy a new dishwasher I was so frustrated. get some - it's amazing! a couple bucks and it's back to normal. I was SOOOO happy!

None use for 7 days

I have a fisher paykel dd603 dishwasher. If I select the normal wash setting on the top drawer, it posts the time in the lcd screen as 56 mins. The unit will wash as usual until it reaches the 28 min mark. At this point it will stay on 28 mins and continue to run, but it won't rinse or empty the drawer of water. Also it never counts down below the 28 min mark. It has flashed a F4 and F1 code. I've cleared them both, and checked to make sure that no water is standing on the bottom of the unit, and that the heating element is working. I should mention that the top drawer did overflow about two weeks ago, and that I did clean up the water. I don't know where to look from here. Any suggestions?
