Question about Samsung Dryers

1 Answer

I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!!!! It is one year old, has done about 50 small loads, and every one comes out DAMP. Just tried to dry 3 regular bath towels(not bath sheets, not beach towels,3regular cotton bath towels) and spent 3 hours on the heavy duty settin g and they still came out damp-what a waste of my time...is this a lemon,or is the entire product line lacking...oh yes,did I say it cost $1,499.00 plus $250.00 for the stand ,plus 10% sales tax !!!!

Thanks, I've scheduled a repair person from Sear's(where I purchased this machine)...somehow I'm not comfortable with them as a company or as a repair company, but I'll show them this email when they arrive Friday...any other suggestions? Many thanks.

Let me ask you upon hooking this dryer up did you install brand new vent work for the exhaust vents? If no they need to be replaced if they are the cheaply made expandable aluminum foiled tubing. If the tubing is made of sheet metal, clean it out thoroughly by taking the tubes completely apart. Most people do not know for the past 20 years the good old government issued manditory moister sensors installed into all dryers to prevent house fires. These sensors detects any lint build up and puts the heat into the check mode. You will initially get heat for a minute or so and that is it if this is your problem

10% is for good old Sam you know

How do you dry on this machine? if you dry on the green, does it completely dry?

The automatic preheat and drying cycle kicks in as the final wash spin is under- way. The system employs a condenser dryer in which the hot air used to dry the clothes is channeled into a drum, instead of being released into the great outdoors via a dry vent hose. Cold water is drawn into the drum at the same time. The two mix, and the result is a condensing process.

The chlothes should be dry. there may be a damp feeling to them but otherwise dry. If your machine is not drying then the element could be going bad, or a thermal cutoff. those would be the easyiest fixes.

The BIG drawback is drying. It takes about 90 minutes to dry a load, and the clothes come out very wrinkled. Because the drum is so small, the clothes don't 'toss' in heated air and don't fluff at all. Clothes also come out stiffer than a regular dryer.

Dishes do not dry

Hi..
Try these..
1.Check that you are using a regular machine cycle, not a short or special cycle. 2.There could be insufficient water fill or pressure. Run your dishwasher when other household demands for water are low (i.e.k, laundry or bathing). 3.This may be due to improper loading of dishes. Check that your large dishware doesn't block the detergent dispenser or water spray. Check your dishwasher manual for proper loading techniques. 4.You may have used too little detergents. Use Finish tabs for even dosing. 5.The spray arm may have been blocked, please ensure that the spray arm can rotate.

Small rug washing in front end loader washer

its problably not able to balenbace the load of rugs, if the machine cant balance itwont go to high speed spin. in actuallity your probalby better off bringing the rugs to the laundry mats, especially if the are rubber backed, the rubber backing will come off clogging your pump assy, then your looking at replacing hte pump for a few hundred dollars, for a clean set of $30 bath rugs.

Washer does not spin, fridgidaire front loading, need to get rubber gasket for door?

Cleaning the pump and filter out regularly and at the first sign of trouble is a good idea. Personally, I think anyone who removes that much rubbish from your pump the first time without showing you how to clean it for yourself in future doesn't deserve your business. Find somebody honest to look after your machine. I can only guess that your repairman is thinking in terms of why the small piece of bathing suit isn't still attached to the rest of the bathing suit: A choked pump won't cause the machine to eat clothes - a damaged door seal might. Was the bathing suit an isolated incident, or has the machine been damaging your laundry a lot lately? Can you feel any rough edges or see any obvious damage to the seal if you run your hand right round it? If the seal seems to be OK and you don't have a real problem with torn clothes, I'd sit tight myself. A.
