a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Your OS is out of date and now obsolete. Win 10 has the patches you require for stability.

Without a game in the tray closes fine but with disc in wont stay closed brand new discs can be put in and the xbox says the disc is dirty it also says that about downloaded games it keeps freezing

Hi there wickedninjao

What to do when your Xbox Has problems with reading disks and you have tried cleaning the disk.

This does not mean your Disk Drive needs replacing more often than not it just needs the laser to be readjusted.

Option 1

You can send this off to Microsoft if your still in warranty because it is included in there free fixes so they will do the collecting for you, fix it and return the Xbox to you, all for free, but it will take 4-6 weeks.

Option 2

If you are out of warranty its the same process as above but its $130 in cost

Option 3

now a new Disk drive would cost around $75 for a compatible one and you may need some one to fit it at a cost as well.

Option 4

What I recommend is a Xbox Repair Guide that will show you the simple steps yourself, you will be up and running again in less than an hour and the cost is far less than option 2 & 3

Good Luck

Mouse freeze up when i first turn on cp

try to boot in safe mode and check if still freezes. if yes then. boot to f8 select last known good configuration. if fails.try to do system restore using the recovery disc. if fails then before reinstalling OS. try to connect an external mouse first then update antivirus then run a full system scan. if still fails then reinstall. OS.

My cp keep freezing up with the question [error reporting] this happens all the time ,does my cp have a virus ,it only happens while searching the web

sound like a program is trying to connect to a host machine, if you installed any new software just before the program started ( Even games ) uninstall this and try again, if the problem persists run a anti spyware program as this can be a trojan virus.

Freeze then red ring of death twice

it is definately a possibility that where you keep your Xbox is the problem. ive actually gone through 3 so far (thank god for the xbox return service)  on the latest one i moved it to on top of a speaker away from anything that gives off heat when in use (like your dvd player) and its outlived the other 2. good luck!

Logitech G7 Mouse problems

This is a well documented problem with the G7.  Which sucks b/c this is the best mouse I've ever used.  Thankfully though the problem appears to be the battery contacts on the inside of the mouse just get pushed back with changing the batteries.  Solutions I've read about is putting a few layers of tape on the back of the battery to push the battery further forward agaisnt the rear stop.  A drop of solder on each of the battery contacts would also do the trick, but getting the solder to stick is a trick.  (If you try this, it is very bad to heat up a battery with a soldering iron, so be extremely careful).  A better solution is to take the mouse apart, a brief overview of disembly can be found here,

Although since I didn't have teflon tape laying around...if you have used the mouse enough or just push a bit on the pads, you can see the outline of the screw holes, and just cut through the pad w/ an exacto knife.  The one under the label already had scored lines which made that one easy.  Once the cover is off I just used the tip of the exacto knife to pry the contacts out a bit more (remove the battery before disembling), cleaned the scroll wheel off, and put the mouse back together.  Works like new so far, which is good b/c from what I've heard Logitech isn't very good about replacing the mice w/o a recipt (which I think I lost after a week, nevermind 3 years).

Hope that helps, this really is the best mouse.
