The cd drive is removable either by screws or some sort of latch or lock. remove it and look again for pinhole, or try to force open.

Cd drive does not eject

Look at the front of your cd drive and locate a small pinhole (usually located next to the eject button). Place a paperclip into that hole and push it forward. The tray should pop open. Other than that...I'd say it's time for a new drive.

Will not eject

If it is your CD drive that you are having problems ejecting then fixing this is no problem. Take a paper clip and straighten it out. Insert the paper clip into the small hole that is next to the eject button. You may need to push fairly hard but the tray will come out.

Tray does not open and the light lits green all the time. how to open the tray?

There should be a pinhole below the tray. Take a pin or paperclip and insert it in the pinhole to eject the tray.

The cd is stuck in the lapptop, it does not come out when i press eject button. Dell xps M1530

Hi there.
Get a large paperclip and straighten it out.
It the CD/DVD has a flap that drops down, pull that down.
Look very close at CD/DVD you will a very small hole on the face of the CD/DVD (usually near the eject button) push the paperclip right in that hole to manually eject the tray.

Good luck

You can manually eject the disk by inserting a straighten paper clip into a pinhole that is located in the front tray. Push the paper clip in until the tray pops out.

hello poopig1, after further review, I meant to describe this: look for a pinhole in the area of the CD tray to insert a pin...similar to the same pinhole you see on a PC's cd player to eject the tray manually. If there is none, then try this: Open the cover and find the motor that, when turning, performs the tray ejection. Then, turn that motor by hand until the entire tray (or cartridge) is ejected. Then power up and observe the events.
