I came across a site selling a Blackberry 8310 for a very good price with the only caveat that is "Passcode locked". Is there a way to go around that code? I imagine that it was entered by a previous owner. Would I be wasting my money buying this phone when it would essentially be useless to me?

Hi, You can get blackberry curve 8310 unlock code from AT&T network provider, but you must have a good standing account with them (minimum 6 month contract) otherwise they will not give that code. Other solution you can purchase blackberry unlock code for small price at third party sites on internet.
Remember that if you type in the PIN "5815" (example) on the BB keyboard without holding down the ALT key you are really typing "dxwd" but you can't see it because it does not show the typed letters only the *****. Try entering the letter form of the numeric passcode. One more example. If your passcode was "1234" enter "wers".
