Hi there

Ensure the laptop is fully charged and also make sure that the battery is inserted properly

Also remove the battery and plug the laptop directly to power to see if it will com on,if it does then the battery needs to be changed.

If it doesnt then the problem is from the power pack, the power pack is probably burnt and should be changed for your system to power up again.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I need to reset my hp laptop how do i do this

Well it depends.. If by reset you mean go back to factory defaults you should have a recovery disk that will destroy all your data and start from scratch. (thought I'd mention the "destroy data" part)

OR, if it's just locked up and won't restart
-Hold the power button for about 10 seconds and it will restart.

Could be a stuck key somewhere, has anything been wasted on the keypad, tap the keys one by one to refresh is. Could also be that the keyboard is broken.

Fixya me ... thanks!

Check the ac adapter is the proper one for that laptop. Check the power jack is not damaged or loose. let laptop site without battery or power for a few hours. remove battery and retry power. try another ac adapter if that doesn't work, you may have a reset button but not likely to solve the problem. sounds like motherboard is damaged, or something blew.
