Question about Dynex Enhanced-G Wireless Broadband Router

Open Question

I have a Dynex Wireless G Router Model No DX-WGRTR. It lost power, and now when I plug it in it has power for about 30 sec to 1 minute, and then loses all power again. I unplug and plug it back in, and it will work for about 1 minute, and then loses power. Nothing else in the power strip is losing power and there are no obvious issues with the plug not being connected well or the wire being damaged in any way.

SOURCE: When I plug router in, there is no power

test the adapter with a multimeter first, then if there is power coming from the adapter the router is dead or damaged. if there is no power coming from the adapter, buy an all in one travel adapter and adjust it (carefully!!) to the settings listed on the old adapter. you will also have to make sure that the plug is the right polarity and that you have the right plug.

Dynex router won't communicate with the modem.

If you connect the modem to the computer, does it go online ?
If your computer is online through the modem, then the modem is working properly.
Check the connections between the modem and the router.
Reset the router for 30 seconds , unplug the power to the router and plug it back in. Wait for 1 minute and set up the router again manually.

I have the dx-wgrtr dynex wireless g router and i can't get it installed on my computer, I have the disk but it won't start.

There an option to manually configuration for the router.
You'll needing to connect your computer to the LAN port of router, connect the modem to the WAN / Internet of the router. Access the configuration page of the router (example 192.168.1.1) then run the wizard and follow the step by step to configure your router.

Reset and setup help on dynex dx-wgrtr wrireless g router

Hi guys, I have the same router and I had the same issue. I just figured out how to fix it. All you have to do is access the mac ip address and it will give you all of the information that you need. It will show you your old password (which you can reset if you want), also it lets you access all of the settings on the Dynex router. The mac (ip) address for this router is http://192.168.2.1/. I recomend righting this (along with your password) on the router itself with a sharpy (marker) so that you can find it quickly in the future if you have the same problem. Godd luck, I hope this helps you.
