My computer says check cable connection PXE-MOF:exitiing intel PXE ROM. no bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key. What does it mean, and how do i fix this?

Check your bios and make sure that your boot from lan is disabled, and check the boot order. Make sure that your CD rom is first, then your hard drive, then boot from lan. Boot from lan needs to be one of the lasts you use if you use your laptop for personal use.

Also make sure any USB devices, like flash storage or external hard drives are disconnected from the computer.

You probably have the bios set to boot from a network, instead of the hard drive.
Find out how to get into your bios as the computer is booting (maybe F8, maybe ctrl-s?) then change the boot order to HD first, followed ny C D-ROM, followed by floppy, then network LAST.

My laptop says PXE-E61 : Media

reboot your laptop , read the screenwhen it says press ? for boot menu
press (f8) for bios

press the one that says boot menu and then when it asks you where to boot choose the one that says hard drive. when that boots up and works. you need to restart your pc and press the f8 one to go into bios, then go to the boot tab, and change it to boot 1st from your hdd. somehow it got changed and it is looking somewhere else for the boot directions and its making errors

Wile I am trying to boot it up it goes in to a loop

Hello.

That error message usually refers to a hard disk failure. Your hard disk cable could be loose or faulty. Or, your hard drive would need to be replaced.

I'd suggest to check the cable and run your system's hardware diagnostics (often F2 or F12) when your system boots.

Hope this helps.
