Same problem here. stb turns off randomly and displays 8888 and locks itself. usually if your press the select button 4 times and turn the stb on again it works but you will have to wait 20 min for it to get the channels or dvr. still no permanent solution though

The scale displays 8888 every time you stand on it. If you go to choose p1 it flashes data. Can seem to get the scale to reset using the instructions and removing batteries does nothing

I have a "Thinner" scale. You have to put a little weight on it to activate, it will show 8888. Don't step on, wait a few seconds and it will change to 0000, then step on.

I have Canon IR-C5185i. Just assembled out of the box. Powered on. Message displays with error E0000732-8888 and I am instructed to "turn switch off and on". What could be wrong?

When this machine was started after connecting the Color Image Reader-E1/F1, the screen for the shutdown sequence appeared (and E732-9999 was recorded as an error history in service mode). When the main power switch was turned OFF/ON by following the instruction on the screen, the error code "E732-8888" was displayed. When connecting the Color Image Reader-E1/F1, follow the field remedy below.
- E732-9999 is recorded when a printer model detects a scanner for the first time. (This is not an error code but an alert.)
- E732-8888 can be displayed when a different scanner is connected to this machine.

Flashing 8888 will not make coffee

I had a similar problem. It stopped working mid-brew, then flashed 8888 incessantly and I couldn't get anything to respond. I unplugged, turned it upside down overnight to drain. Next day it worked fine and has been OK since.

I-tech blueband headphones, how to parring?

The Itech manual I have says to try 0000 or 8888 or 1234 Codes to Sync it up. I did the usualy 0000 until I was blue in the face then read the Chenglish manual, 8888 worked for me. These Itechs are a bit different but VERY kewl.
