First of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in

If it runs only in slow speed your hi/lo speed switch is bad. Cheapest I've found is at tigerimports.com part#MEPU002 for $11.00 plus $2.00 shipping USP. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: do I need to replace all tires on peg perego john deere

Hi!
On these, only the 2 rear wheels are the gear wheels. You will just need to replace the tires on those with the rubber ones if you choose to go that way.  Good luck!

If you have a clicking noise but it doesn't turn, it may be a bad gearbox. You can replace the peg perego gearbox, but make sure the wires are secure on the motors. I found them at this website http://www.shopjandl.com/kids---baby-ride-on-toys-peg-perego-gearboxes-and-motors.html

They also helped me with other problems I had with the vehicle.
hope this helps

check the battery with a multimeter and see if its showing 12 volts or more, if it is showing volts but not 12 or more then put it on the charger for about 8 hours, then check the battery again if it still hasn't went up check the voltage of the charger with the multimeter and make sure that the charger is putting out 13.8 volts or more, iif it isn't then you need a new charger, if it is then you need a new battery

My husband left my sons john deere gator out in the weather all winter and summer and now it won't budge. The battery is charged but it won't do a thing. Do you have any idea what could be the problem?

the battery might be bad, usually if the peg perego batteries are left out for more than 6 months without a charge, then they go bad.
You can contact the peg perego repair department at 1.801.655.0800 and they will be able to help you out.
hope this helps

We just replaced the battery and it worked fine

Use a meter to confirm whether the battery is still working. The meter should read around 12-13 VDC if the battery is good. The 12 Volt Peg Perego battery is made with 2 6 volt batteries connected in series. Maybe the connection broke when the battery fell out. Check the connection and also check with a meter if either battery is pumping out 6 volts.
