Cant acess the set up wizard

First you will need to check the wireless settings of the router. If you don't know the wireless settings of the router then you will need to open the set up page of the router and get the wireless settings. You will need wireless network name ( SSID ) , wireless channel, type of the wireless security and wireless network key or passphrase.

Click Here to know how to check the wireless settings of the router.

If you know the wireless settings of the router then you will need to open the set up page of the WET54G and put the same wireless settings on the wireless briidge.

So I have a little problem. I'm trying to find out how to connect 2 wireless routers together from across the house. The internet side is connected to a Linksys wireless router (WRT54G). This is located in...

you need a wireless ethernet bridge(like wet54g/wet610n) which will grab signals wirelessly from u're primary router wrt54g,& then a ethernet cable from wireless bridge will be connected to one of the lan port of u'rs netgear router(otherwise u will not be able to do file & printer sharing between 2 routers)Remember, the ip address of all 3 devices shold be of same class.

if you have internet access with the modem straight to the jack do this:

;) if you dont have a connection in your modem try with a PPPoE connection ;)

unfortunately wireless is slower. i wouldn't worry though as 100mps is what windows always says but this itself is not accurate as your isp is probably even less than 18 mbps.

Wet54g will propperly communicate to a cisco 1310

make sure you switch anything that says 'proprietary', or is just not standard 54g with the wireless settings.

Some manufacturers will put in auto-discovery services that only that same manufacturer of wireless access point will understand, this can sometimes cause problems for bridge communication.

Making a wrt54gc wireless router work with a wet54g bridge

You shouldn't have to enter your SSID unless you have it hidden. Also, make sure you have the correct encryption set on both sides. WEP/WPA/WPA-2 for the Security type and TKIP/AES for the Encryption type. They need to match your router.

Also, you need ot make sure you are entering the correct IP/gateway/subnet mask address or have DHCP enabled.

Good luck

WET54G stops working

well first off u prolly got hacked, he prolly made a backdoor by now, if he changed the settings on your bridge i reccomend resetting the device to factory defaults then updating the firmware, then obtain a physical copy or digital copy of the book "wireless hacking for dummies" not saying that u r adumb or any thing but this is really good resource to teach u to tighten up your security.

The settings on that bridge(the far away one) might have been reset somehow. Try to reconfigure it, you can contact the manufacturer to help you set it up
