Hi, I have a photosmart C3150 printer and the color ink isn't working and when I print something out it comes out pink and then fades at the end of the printing. The ink number is 93. If you can help me that will be great. Thank You!

It sounds like you ink cartridge is electrically bad; you can run the diagnostic 'tap 41' test to confirm. The HP 31xx printer 'access procedure' will be very similar to this HP Fxxx series access procedure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-OM09NvNqg
You should first check your ink levels to make sure you have enough of all colors. Do this through the printer toolbox on your pc. If the ink levels are fine you should print out a diagnostic page. Follow these steps to print out a test page:
1. Press and hold the cancel button
2.Press the start copy color button.
3. Release both buttons.
If there were problems with the test page run the clean print cartridges utility. This can be found in the printer toolbox in the device services tab.
If that fails as well, you should look at replacing your ink cartridges with new ones.
If what you're saying is still the result after cleaning everything up, there must already be something wrong with the printhead because the printheads are the one's that are responsible for the mixture of the ink cartridges.
Try calling HP Tech Support. They might still be able to replace the printheads for you.
You need to calibrate the printer. You are not supposed to skip this
process. After loading a new printer you need to do the calibration
without fail. You could get the black ink into work back. For this you
need to run 'Self Test Diagnostic'. Along with this you need to also run the 'Print Cartridge Alignment'. This would help you to get the black ink to work.
This problem is usually caused by one of the colors in the installed cartrige not printing out on the alignment page. You need to have red, blue and yellow working to get a good alignment. Try removing the cartridge, and wiping the print head with a wet paper towel to try to start the ink flowing. You should see three bands of color ink oozing out the bottom. If not, the cartridge is bad and needs replaced again!
sounds like its a expired ink issue. on alot of the hp photosmart printers the ink has a expirey date on the carts the best solution would be to contact hp and chances are they will send you free carts if your ink has been expired. when a black ink is almost out most of the time it trys to draw ink from the color carts mixing to make the appropriate color.
but you can also try the following.
See the instructions for
calibrating a print cartridge in
the Care and Maintenance
section of the HP Photosmart
Dear Black Rose
It is strongly recommended to change your colour cartridge.
Or it can be possible that you did not use your colour cartridge for a long time.
The nozzle of colour cartridge are blocked, if you did not use your colour cartridge for a long time.
Purchase a new cartridge if you can or go for a local refiller to refill (if possible) your colour cartridge.
