Hello

Ok, at the link you will be able to get step by step instruction on downloading photos from your camera to your computer. Just keep in mind that you will need to set the destination folder to the folder you want on the desktop. You will need to create a new folder on the desktop if you do not have one already.

Let me know if this was helpful.

Kind regards
Andrea

My computer doesn't recognize my camera. There is no CANON library in my computer. I need to download on my laptop the program to transfer my photo from my camera to the computer.

You don't really need any software program. Just get a separate card reader and use it to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop.

Can't Download A Large File from Canon A560 Digital Camera

Get a card reader. The one pictured below is $13 at Walmart. Create a folder on your desktop. Insert your card into the card reader and the other end into a USB port on your computer. Drag and drop the video file into the folder you created. b957eb4.jpg

My Canon SD850IS overwrites pictures on the SD card. I recently took over 200 photos on vacation and now have about 35. The last pictures are the ones that remain.

They may still be there in separate folders. Use a card reader to download to a folder you create on your desktop. Double-click on that and your pictures should all be there.
