When I turn my tv on, it takes a while to come on. It may shut off a few times on its own before eventually turning on. It is eventually taking longer to come on, and is eventually taking longer.

Normally this can be either a fuse or a power supply either require technical assistance and would suggest either returning it if under warranty or repurchasing and returning the broken one in its place before spending the money to have a technician look at it

hope this helps

Tv screen goes blank after a few minuites on

Check you setting a make sure some screen saver is not turned on. It's more common for Plasma screens then for LED/
LCD or LCD/Fluorescent sets. Also, if it senses no video input some sets will just turn off the screen and then eventually also turn off. Of course, it could also be defective. It would not hurt to check for a loose plug as well. If it is not firmly in it could take a minor movement to make the connection not complete and the TV could shut off. I sometimes set my TV to the tuner after watch videos just so it will not shut itself off if I'm gone for too many minutes.

I have a Phillips big screen tv and the front light is flashing red at all times and the picture will not come on the screen. This light is usually green when the set is on. What can I do to get it green...

I have the SAME issue and so far it seems to be an issue with the fan not kicking on.... I turn it on in the morning, as soon as you hear sound the red lights kick on and I shut it off... it takes a few seconds to shut down so stay close to your remote durring this process and as soon as the "red light" kicks in, turn it off, as soon as it's off, turn it back on... I have to go thru this about 30 times now before I can get the picture to stay on, but it eventually kicks in. Hope this helps!

Wont turn on

Take the back off of the TV and look at the power supply board (middle of the set). One or more electrolitic capacitors will have the tops swelled up. Replace them with the same value parts and you will be OK.

After turning on the 42" Vizio, the sound turns off

One week old? did you ever think about taking it back to the store where you bought it?? would be my first choice. unless you want a bunch of crazy answers or taking it to an authorized repair shop and waiting a few months for parts to come in and more time for the repair to take place.

Won't turn on

those tvs will try 3 times before completely shutting down. you can try and take the back off and check CP150 it is a large capactior located near the middle of the board on the left hand side(looking from back) if it looks and feels like the top is vented or puffed out then that could be the problem. if not i suggest having a qualified service tech take a look because there are too many things that could be the root cause.
