How to update xbox 360 model 1439 the sensor doesn't work

Hello
An alternate method is to log onto x box live, find updates.Download them to a pc.

Use winzip or winrar to compress the file or update.

Then using a flash drive or a usb cable put the update onto the x box console via usb or flash drive.

Its not letting me do an update for xbox live

Hello
Use a flash drive or a usb cable,Download the update from x box live onto your pc.Use a winzip program such as winrar or winzip to compress it.
Save update to your documents.

Once done transfer update to a flash drive and connect it to your x box and extract it.

Or using a usb cable connected to the x box from the pc,transfer the data to the x box.

Need system update

Connect your Xbox 360 to your router via an ethernet cable and download the update from directly from Xbox Live. Alternatively, you can download the update on your computer and either burn the file to a CD/DVD or drop the file onto a Memory Stick and put that into the Xbox to run the update. Most newer games have the newest update directly on the game disc. Direct link to Microsoft: http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/how-to/update-xbox-360/system-updates.aspx

I burnt a movie onto dvd cdr that i had purchesed from i-tunes and it says i need to update my console but i cant find the update anywhere on the x-box website...i dont have x-box live was wondering if you...

The easiest way to update it would be to just connect the console to the internet, which wouldn't require Xbox live. Once the console is connected you should be prompted to update.
If you can't connect the console, you can download the update here: http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/how-to/update-xbox-360/system-updates.aspx#expandoContent1 And burn it to a CD or DVD, or just copy it to a flash drive. To download the file, just click the "download the update file" link under "Copy to a USB Flash Drive" or "Burn to a CD or DVD".

X-box 360s brand new, cannot get it to download the update

Hello

The easiest option to update the Xbox 360 hard drive is to connect to Xbox Live. The console will automatically prompt the user to install any available updates. Alternatively, users can download the update files to a USB flash drive to transfer to the Xbox 360 hard drive.

Update via Xbox Live

Open the Xbox 360 dashboard menu. This menu automatically appears when the console is turned on. Press the "Xbox" button, followed by the "Y" button to return to the dashboard menu from a game.

Scroll up to the "My Xbox" tab of the dashboard menu.

Select "System Settings" from the "My Xbox" section of the dashboard. Scroll to the right while the "My Xbox" tab is selected to reach the "System Settings" icon.

Select "Network Settings" from the "System Settings" menu.

Select "Test Xbox Live Connection" from the network settings. A prompt will appear to update the Xbox 360 hard drive if your system is not already updated to the latest version.

Select "Yes, update now" to install the latest updates to your Xbox 360 hard drive.

Updating via USB Flash Drive

Copy the update files onto the root directory of your USB flash drive. You can download the Xbox 360 update files by going to download.microsoft.com/download/1/d/8/1d8c09be-278e-41cd-98be-eb9188128227/$systemupdate9199.zip. You must extract the files from the .zip file before placing them on the USB drive. The update files cannot be placed into a folder or the Xbox 360 system will not recognize them.

Remove the flash drive from your computer.

Insert the flash drive into the USB port on the Xbox 360 console.

Turn on the Xbox 360. An update prompt will appear when the system powers up.

Select "Yes, update now" to update the Xbox 360 hard drive.
