Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
The Red light with the arrow indicates that the printer is having a paper jam. You need to check the actual paper jam and clear if you can find them. First open the Rear access door and check for any piece of paper very carefully, even foreign particles like thread or something similar objects can cause this error. Use a flashlight and inspect the machine very carefully. Also open the front access door and do the same. If you are sure that there's no more actual paper jam and the problem still persists, then remove all the cartridges, turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord and the usb cable [don't forget to switch off the adapter from the Mains (switch)]. Leave it Off for at least 5 minutes (should be minimum 5 minutes, otherwise it's not worth trying, most people don't want to wait for that 5 minutes and the problem never leaves and they think it's not helpful) and, while you are waiting, you can check the Cartridge Contacts (golden colored contact points) on the printer and wipe them clean using a clean cloth or a brush (you can add acetone or alcohol in the cleaning). Now press the power button several times before you switch in. Reconnect the power cord, switch on the Mains and, power on the machine and keep pressing the power button, once it's On, you'll see the cartridges missing error. Just ignore and leave it on for few minutes. After about five minutes, reinstall the cartridges and press cancel button while you are installing them. Close the cartridge Access door and check whether if the problem's gone or not. This will definitely clear the blinking error light if there's no actual paper jam. So you should make 100% sure that there's no paper jam, or any foreign particles stuck on the rollers or on the carriage.
