TV doesnot Turn ON (by 3 users)

I have sony grand wega KF-60WE610 since 2004 and today I have problem that TVE doesnot turn on, when I pressed button, green light blinking for 3-4 times and then turn red light and keep blinking, and lately I feel color is somewhat distoted too.

Mine had the same problem, the light would blink and then go red again. I checked the manual, the lamp had gone out. I unplugged the television, removed the casing and replaced the light, and it turned on immediately.
My question is how long do these lamps last?

I am having the same problem. The TV will not turn on at all.

sounds like you need a new light bulb
