Hi if you see in the picture by the title of your post you will see that you need a tool to remove the radio the tools has 2 parts to it and each part goes into either side of the stereo you need to push them in really hard and it will then allow you to pull the stereo out.

you can by the stereo removal clips from any car spares shops and they cost next to nothing without these you will struggle to get it out without damaging the dashboard
you could also try the well known auction site for these tools as they will cost pennys to buy they really are cheap to buy and without these you will never get the stereo out without causing damage to your car.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

How to remove radio panel on 1984 Buick Riviera

The factory radios usually have 4 small holes. Two on either side of the front radio panel. There is a tool that you can get from a parts store for just a couple of bucks that you insert into the for holes at the same time.(There are two U shaped tools, one for each side) When you push them in it will release the pin holds and you can slide out the radio.

Remove radio ford

They make a inexpensive radio removal tool that consists of 2 "U" shaped prong like handles that insert into the 4 "square" holes on the face of the radio edge, 2 being on the left side and 2 on the right side near the edge. Gently insert the the 2 section tools into the 4 holes as sorts 2 "handles" and gently pull the radio out of dash area. The terminals have lock tabs that you need to depress to thus remove the speaker and power terminal connections. Auto Zone, Advance Auto, O' Reilly's and NAPA usually have the fairly cheep little tools, that look almost as though they were made from "coat hanger" wire rod.

My 2003 Lincoln Aviatro CD player does't work . I would like to know how to remove it from the Dash?

I believe the entire unit is 1 piece. There should be 4 square holes in the face of the radio. Walmart sells the clips which go into this radio and you need them to remove it.

How would i take my fectory radio out of the car?

Radio & Tape Player

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. If so equipped, disable the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
  2. Remove the floor console and the front console panel. On 1984-85 cars, if access to the back of the radio may be gained through other means, such as removing the "pocket" from the console, the console need not be removed.

4. Remove the ashtray and ashtray holder.
5. Remove the two screws holding the radio at the rear of the unit.
6. Carefully push the unit out the front of the dash. When access
is gained, disconnect the multi-pin connector and
the antenna cable from the unit. Remove the unit.

7. Reinstall in the reverse order. Take great care not to damage the dash trim and instrument visor. Make certain the connectors are firmly and squarely installed. If applicable, be sure to enable the SRS.

Take out tapeake out tape deck in dash deck in dash

The radio has 4 little holes in it, 1 in each corner or that area... Take a old hanger and cut it into 4, 5 inch pieces. Take these pieces of hanger and stick them into each of the 4 holes about 2 inches. This will disengauge the clips that hold the radio. Gently pry out the radio and there you go. Hope this is what your asking to do.

Adding a remote USB port

I solved my own problem.1 I removed radio1.gif face 2 I removed back cover of radio face to expose USB solder joints.3 I drilled a hole in the back cover of radio face over solder joints 4 I drilled a hole in front cover of radio behind face plate and lined it up with hole in back cover of face plate.5 I cut the male plug off of a USB extension cord and ran it through factory notch on the back of radio, through drilled hole on front panel of radio, thruogh drilled hole on back cover of radio face and soldered wires to back side of USB plug in. Wire colors from top to bottom are Red, White, Green, Black. Solder sheild to any of the three larger solder joints next to these connections. Make sure wires are not touching any other connections. Put radio back together and add screw that locks face to radio. Face can no longer be removed with this wire added. Now I can plug in my 8gb memory stick1.gif,hide it under the dash and have a clean looking installation.
