Not getting power

Pull the fuses and check them. Make sure that the wires have power. Battery power should always be on(12V) and the remote wire should have power only when you turn on the radio. Also check to make sure you have a good ground to chassis. If your wires have power and the amp's fuses are fine, then the amp's fried. At that point if it's not under warranty, open it up and see what you find. I may be a cold solder point that need re soldering or a burnt lead on the PCB board. Pay close attention at the power end of the amp, where you hook up your wires, check around there especially.

The subs aren't pushing out bass.

Hello crobins2,

The Kenwood KAC-6202 2-channel is only rated for 60 watts RMS per channel into a 4 ohm load. That just isn't much power for a pair of 12" subs. Even the bridged output is only 200 watts into 4 ohms, still at the low end for a sub, much less to share between a pair of subs.

Assuming that your subs are 4 ohm, you could probably get more sound by driving just one of them on the bridged terminals. But to get the best power with what you have, connect one sub to each channel, set the filter switch to the far right (LPF), set the operation switch to stereo (both channels driven), set the filter frequency (Hz) to 100 or lower, and adjust the input sensitivity as far clockwise as possible without causing distortion.

But, to do the subs justice, you really need at least 300-400 watts to share between them.

Hope this helps.

There is no happened when i was tightening the power wire

Hello warpartybmt,

Sounds like you shorted power to ground. Such a short most likely blew the power fuse.

You do not say whether you did the original install or if it was performed by an aftermarket audio shop. A normal amp installation usually includes a "primary" fuse located within a few inches of the battery positive (+) terminal. Look for a fuseholder close to the battery and check the fuse. Below is an image of one such fuseholder. Yours may look similar or it may be a "tube" with a glass fuse.

Hope this helps.

Bridging issues

There's no signal on the L- and R+ terminals.

If you're going to bridge both speakers on the amp, each speaker must have an impedance of 8 ohms (or more). If you're unsure of the impedance of the speakers, connect one speaker to each channel.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
