SOURCE: I need Guidance on opening the case up to

There are no screws holding this together only 8 locking plastic clipbs (4 on each side). To open I started near the battery charger end and used a flat tip screwdriver to gently pry open the case. Repeat on the other side. Unit has 2 Sanyo NIMH AAA batteries (welded tabs in series). I can't determine if these are regular NIMHs or enloops.

You're not supposed to be able to open it. Take it to an authorized Remington repair shop.

HOW TO OPEN CASE OF MS3 2000 TO REPLACE BATTERIES

The MS3-2000 was not designed to be opened. The case is glued together on the sides. It cn not be disassembled without causing damage to the case

Instead of trying to replace the batteries, I suggest that you change out the entire handle portion of the shaver called a 'lower unit'. It is very cost effective. You will find a compatible lower unit at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Hello, How do I change the battery on the Remington TF300 shaver? and I don't know how to open the case to remove the old battery.

Remove the foil assembly and cutters. You will find 2 screws on the back near the top. Remove screws and you can then pry the front half of case off. You will then be able to access the batteries. There are two batteries connected end to end. You will find replacements at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. You will need to order 2 batteries

My elderly father's remington razor MS3 2700 does not seem to be recharging, when it is plugged in. When the "on" switch is pressed, the red light flashes and it makes a tired noise. Could the recharge...

This model was not designed to replacement batteries. The case is glued together so opening it usually results in damaging the case.<br /> Instead of replacing the batteries, I suggest replacing the 'lower unit' part. Remington MS2-250 shaver disassembly?

This shaver was pretty clearly not designed for battery replacement. To open, first remove the screen and blades, and unhook the metal collar from the tab on the back of the case. Then carefully pry off the black inset on the front of the shaver. Underneath it, near the bottom are two screws. Remove these. The case is now only held together by several plastic latches, which can be carefully pried apart with a small screwdriver. The two 2/3A size batteries are soldered to the printed circuit board, which can be pulled out (don't break the wires to the motor) by a little wiggling. The original batteries in mine are 1100mAh, and I have just ordered 1600mAh replacements. The new ones don't have tabs - so soldering them in place is probably going to be a challenge.

Good luck.
