I have 2 MFC-7420's.

One is prining poorly like toner low but doesn't have a low toner message.

I switched the drum and toner from the working printer to see if I needed a new drum or toner but the problem continues, very light printing, and ghost printing throughout the page.

I reset the drum counter to see if it was causing a problem but the problem still persists.

Cartridge and Drum working well in one printer, but not working in the other printer.

Any suggestions, there are no error messages. Is there a cleaning cycle.

I tried cleaning the inside already.

Is it something worth repairing? I noticed it's like $100 for a new one. Is it something that can be fixed or do I have to replace with a new part?

Will I have to put in a new drum as well? I'm at 13,000 pages?

this sounds to me like it could possibly be stemming from the fuser, this is quite common on fuser that use a thin film belt for the heat roller...
