Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines

Washer model LSR8233JQ0. Cycle got to rinse section and stopped. When you try on any cycle, it just does a ticking sound for a few minutes and then shuts down totally. You can wait several minutes and it resets and then you can try again and you just get the ticking sound.

I do not believe it is timer, unless it is solid state, because now it will not do anything no matter where you set the timer

I gave up and ordered a timer

This could be caused by a few different things. Either the lid/door switch is faulty and not allowing power to flow through the system, or the timer may be bad. You can test the switch with an ohmmeter to see if it is faulty or not. You can test test the timer as well which is another common failure.

Problem is likely the timer board, before replacing timer board better testing pressure switch, which detects the water level, as this can also cause similar problems.
If there is no filling, also check that the inlet valve is working and that there is water from the house.

My Kenmore he front load washer stopped at the rinse and spin cycle. I don't know the model but it only a few years old. It made a load noise before stopping. I attempted to get it going again wit

Kenmore front loader. stopped at rinse. First ck to see if you washer works at different settings if so its very possible its your timmer or what called the wig wag or solonoid this switches the machine to spin & rinse. A basic service call should resolve your problem.

Kenmore washing machine model 110 wash cycle stops

DOES IT DO THIS ON EVERY WASH OR SOMETIMES? IF SOMETIMES, CHECK LID SWITCH( THERE'S A LITTLE HOLE WHEN YOU OPEN THE LID, ON THE LID SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE PLASTIC PIECE THAT GOES IN THAT HOLE. THE SWITCH IS UNDER, INSIDE THAT HOLE. YOU CAN GET A PEN OR KEY TO SEE IF IT'S BROKEN.)

I think it maybe your lid switch. If the lid switch is out it will not spin and sometimes spin or drain. can you give me a model number so that I can further assist you?

Cold water will not stop filling during rinse

while the unit is filling in the warm cycle. reach behind and shut off the hot water tap.I bet the water flow stops filling, if so, you would need to change the inlet valve on the machine. You see, in warm, if the cold is not filling, you still hear the hot filling and the unit will advance. The rinse cycles are mostly "cold" only. if the valve is not opening it will not allow it to advance from the rinse section on the board.

Good luck!

Stalled Motor

quite possibly the drain pump which would cause it to stick in rinse cycle. the humming noise you heard is probably the drain pump powered up but jammed. likely cause is a foreign object stuck in the pump impellor - main culprit is bits of bra wire. take the pump to pieces and extract whatever is jamming it.
