You must have 2 knobs in the bean hopper, or the grinds are more like French Press (very large grinds) If yoou just have 2 knobs turn the small one towards the minus (-) a little, and see idf that helps. If you hqve very large grinds you grinder has seperated and needs to be replaced.
Hi A blinking red light means that something is not in place. The usual subject is the drip tray. If it doesn't lock into place usually there are grounds behind it. The brew unit is an other one that doesn't lock in every time. To check, open the door and without pushing the "press" button, grab the handle and pull. If it comes out, that was your problem.
Try this: clean out the chamber, then set the grinds coarser to see if it makes a difference. If it does not then the micro switch or solenoid that controls the door is broken. Check resistance on solenoid it may need to be replaced.
I have the same problem but it's easy to fix. Turn the machine off.
Open the front panel. Remove the dump box on the side. Pull the grinder
Look at the thing you just pulled out. You'll see a
little ramp going from where everything slides down from the top. That
ramp gets damp and the freshly ground coffee starts sticking on it.
Take your finger and wipe it off.
Next, is kinda hard to
describe. If you put your fingers inside, along the top, center edge of
the machine you'll feel a ridge. It's a spring loaded door. Pull it
down and clean the grounds out.
Slap it back together and you're good to go. Only takes about a minute when you get the hang of it.
