HP NEVER replaces a printer unless it's completely dead, and even then only if it's newer than 6 months - otherwise they will use replacement parts to fix it.
Since now its out of warranty they will not even be bothered to take a look at it.
Cut the problem to the root - junk this POS and buy a new printer. This will save you time and money that would be better used elsewhere.
